NEW EPIANDROSTERONE EIA KIT
We are excited to announce the release of our new Epiandrosterone EIA Kit.
Epiandrosterone is a natural metabolite of DHEA via the 5a-reductase enzyme. It can be measured in fecal or urine samples providing a non-invasive indicator of gonadal activity in males. Conjugated and free epiandrosterone has been shown to be part of the major androgens excreted in feces from hyenas, cheetahs, Pzewalski’s horses and other species. Levels of epiandrosterone measured in feces have been correlated to observations of breeding or social dominance behaviors in some species.
Features of the Arbor Assays Epiandrosterone EIA Kit:
- Validated for measurement of Epiandrosterone in dried fecal extracts, saliva, urine, extracted serum/plasma and tissue culture media
- Sensitivity: 0.12 ng/mL
- Samples/Kit: 40 or 232 in Duplicate
- Multi-species - Epiandrosterone is identical across species, and the kit is expected to measure Epiandrosterone from all sources.
